1 Wide Plate

Name: Lego Plate 1 x X
Size: 1 wide, varied length, 1/3 high

This is one of the most basic parts of the Lego building system. These plates can be found in almost any model made of Lego bricks. Their uses are simply too many for me to list here, but here's a few I thought of:

• Racing stripe detailing, e.g on a car.
• Use smaller plates for Lego mosaics (Lego actually sells kits for this!)
  
• A mini-model I built uses two 1 x 4 blue plates as parts of airplane wings.
• Mounted vertically, they can be used for fencing.
• And so on.
